Community Involvement

Below is a list of organizations we are proud to be involved with in our community:

Leadership Pensacola (LeaP) The mission of LeaP is to develop and foster community minded leaders. The program is designed to help participants acquire an understanding of the issues facing the Pensacola area, and the leadership skills necessary to resolve them.

Leadership Pensacola Alumni The mission of Leadership Pensaola Alumni is to build and support a legacy of leadership for the Pensacola Bay Area.

Graduates of the 10 month program become members of our alumni group. Alumni programs further networking and provide updates on selected community inititatives and issues.

LeaP alumni are a very special group of committed individuals who continue to strive to make our community a better place to live. Northwest Florida needs the active involvement of people like you in government, business, and community affairs.

Alumni, individually and/or collectively, continually influence the community via service on boards and commissions and in undertaking service projects.

Pensacola Young Professionals The mission of Pensacola Young Professionals is to develop the Pensacola Bay Area as a thriving and dynamic place to live, work and play by making our fellow young professionals and the community as a whole aware of issues shaping the area through proactive civic, social and professional involvement.

Pensacola Professional Development Institute (PPDI) The Pensacola Professional Development Institute (PPDI) was formed to promote the professional and personal growth of owners, supervisors, and managers in the Pensacola area. This will be accomplished by providing supervisory and leadership skills training for the employers, employees and entrepreneurs in our community.

Southern Youth Sports Association (SYSA) The Southern Youth Sports Association (SYSA) is a local grass-roots nonprofit organization. Our mission is to respond to the academic, social and physical needs of each child through the appropriate involvement of community, students and staff.

We are committed to the development of the full potential of each child. Our programs and activities focus on the development of responsibility, cooperation and acceptance. Currently, SYSA offers basketball, cheerleading, baseball, football and tutoring programs. The SYSA is a program administered by local leaders in our community for the benefit of youth in our community.
